Prashant Khapekar
PhysiotherapistSpeaks: English, Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, UrduPrashant Khapekar has been a Physiotherapist since 1999, which includes more than 12 years in India before moving to Canada. He has worked in Ontario before relocating his family to the Atlantic coast in 2019. He has additional training in aspects of sports physiotherapy and health management.
He enjoys watching and playing Cricket, Soccer, and Badminton, going on a long drives with his family and friends and loves to relish the Indian spicy delicacies.

Massage TherapistSpeaks: EnglishJanet Porter Hicks graduated in 2014 from the Massage Therapy Program at Eastern College in Moncton, NB where she completed a 2200 hour massage therapy program with over 440 clinic hours. Offering both therapeutic and relaxation massage Janet has had the opportunity to treat clients with a wide variety of conditions or concerns. Initially working in a spa setting, she has now set her focus on a therapeutic future where her acquired skills are helping her to make a difference in her clients' overall wellbeing as part of an interdisciplinary team.
A few of the techniques that Janet is able to share with her clients include general Swedish massage, myofascial release, cupping, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations and much more. Janet is registered and in good standing with The Massage Therapist and Holistic Practitioner’s association of the Maritimes (MTWPAM). Janet currently makes her home in Brookdale, NS but is from the small local community of River Hebert. Give her a call to book your appointment today!

PhysiotherapistSpeaks: EnglishTravis first joined the Lifemark team in 2013. Originally from Sackville, New Brunswick, Travis completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (2011) and his Master of Physiotherapy (2013) at Dalhousie University. Travis worked in Ontario for two years before returning home to practice.
Travis has continued his learning through post-secondary education courses completing his Level 1 Acupuncture (AA-1) through the AFCI in 2015. He is currently a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is registered with The Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists.
Outside of physiotherapy, Travis leads a very active lifestyle by participating in activities such as hockey, softball, hiking, golf, skiing and snowshoeing. He also volunteers his time in the community helping coach minor hockey at the Atom level with the Sackville Minor Hockey Association. As well, Travis acts as the trainer/physiotherapist for Tantramar Regional High School’s football team during the school year. The football team posted an undefeated record in 2016, winning the provincial championship.
Through his athletic background, Travis believes that active participation by the client and proper education is the key to a successful treatment plan. With an emphasis on exercise and education he provides clients with information that allows them to achieve their functional goals, make healthy lifestyle choices and prevent injuries in the future.
