Glenn Hendricks
PhysiotherapistSpeaks: EnglishGlenn is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (UBC), Faculty of Medicine, School of Rehabilitation Sciences with a degree in Physical Therapy. Additionally he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University (Biology and Kinesiology) and Certificates in Health and Fitness Studies and the Liberal Arts.
With extensive post Graduate work in orthopedic assessment and treatment with a particular focus on lower limb tendonopathies, hip, knee and ankle injuries, Glenn is able to effectively evaluate, analyze and treat a client’s movement and pain presentation from the straightforward to the complex.
He is a function based physiotherapist who uses assessment tools and movement strategies to help people reach their goals. The treatment philosophy is to identify and correct underlying muscle imbalances, movement and postural dysfunctions and then develop proper movement patterns through specific exercises.
Glenn has worked with a diverse patient population from Olympic Athletes to all levels of sports enthusiasts. As well, Glenn has significant experience with Motor Vehicle Accidents and Work Related Injuries helping clients navigate to recovery. He has considerable experience with orthopaedic surgeries such as joint arthroplasties (hip and knee replacements).
His treatment approach integrates manual therapy, various “hands on“ techniques such as myofascial mobilization, release techniques, exercise prescription and education.
Glenn is a member of two international organizations based out of the United Kingdom and Australia that serve to provide physiotherapists with up to date clinical practice protocols using an evidence based approach.
He takes a special interest in Physiotherapy for the Arts and recognizes that artists such as dancers and musicians use their bodies just as athletes do to convey the nature of their art. Having taken courses through the Harkness School of Dance and with lecturers from International Association for Dance Medicine and Science.
Outside of the clinic, Glenn has participated in bike racing for over 10 years (road and cyclocross) and can be found on a bike, at the gym, being bossed around by a 4 pound Chiweenie or exercising in a pool; being a strong advocate for hydrotherapy. Glenn also studies the violin at the Langley Community Music School.
Jessica MacCarron
Massage TherapistSpeaks: EnglishJessie has worked as a Registered Massage Therapist for Lifemark since 2019 and enjoys working alongside her talented team of physiotherapists in order to meet each patient's goals with a well-rounded approach.
Jessie strives to form positive connections with each patient and aims to create individualized therapeutic plans in order to achieve their personal health goals.
Babayinka Oluteye
PhysiotherapistSpeaks: EnglishYinka graduated from Nigeria's premier ivory tower, the University of Ibadan with a BSc Hons (Physiotherapy) in 1998 and been committed to learning and improving practice for athletes all through his career. Following graduation, he got a job with the National Sports Medicine Centre, Lagos Nigeria and attended various sports inury rehabilitation courses like the FIFA 11+ program, pre-2010 FIFA World Cup medical course in South Africa.
He simultaneously got involved with athlete rehabilitation under the mentorship of trained sports physiotherapists, worked independently as team physiotherapist for the Nigerian mens basketball team at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne 2006. Yinka got Twist Sports Conditioning bronze level certification, McKenzie A,B and C courses, lower limb biomechanics course in Vancouver 2017, Isokinetic Sports Medicine Conference ,London 2015 and Postgraduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy (Bath) 2022. Yinka previously headed the Speed Agility Quickness (SAQ) program for Chilliwack FC (2012-2016), provided acute care intervention for Coquitlam Metro Ford for 3 years also covered the Provincial soccer championship.
Yinka still actively plays soccer with friends on the weekend, regularly attends the gym and watches movies.
Shanay Valk
Massage TherapistSpeaks: EnglishShanay graduated from the 3,200-hour Massage Therapy program at Langara College in 2016. She loves the diversity of massage therapy and all that it has to offer. Shanay enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and is fascinated by people in general and she believes your life tells a tale through your body by injuries, posture and your demeanour.
Previously, Shanay owned and operated her own clinic “the Pink Ruca”, but she has decided to take a step back to focus on client-centered care. She is knowledgeable in pregnancy massage, both prenatal and post-natal. She also has experience treating a wide variety of ailments, auto-immune diseases, neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, strains, sprains, athletes, dancers, and children.
Shanay loves everything that massage therapy can offer and has decided not to focus on one specific area but to experience it all.
Cameron Van Oort
Certified Hand TherapistSpeaks: EnglishCameron graduated from McMaster University with his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, eventually going on to complete his Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Western University. During his schooling, Cameron gained clinical experience at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre in London, Ontario and subsequently worked in private practice at the Hand and Upper Limb Clinic in Thunder Bay. He also received his Master's degree in Kinesiology at University of Saskatchewan, developing an understanding of research and has published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals.
Cameron has developed a strong passion for treating the upper limb and is always looking to advance his knowledge base. Most recently, he completed a year long fellowship training program in the upper extremity to further his knowledge and skills, which lead to him obtaining his Certified Hand Therapist designation. He also holds a variety of continuing education credits with regards to splinting, wound care and treatment of the upper extremity. He strongly believes that thorough and detailed patient education leads to optimal long-term outcomes and decreased recurrence rates.
Aside from work, Cameron enjoys being active outside in a variety of activities including climbing, tennis, squash, hockey and snowboarding.
Amneet Virk
PhysiotherapistSpeaks: EnglishAmneet earned her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Baba Farid University, Punjab, India, in 2012 and immigrated to Canada in 2013. She completed her credentialing through the University of Toronto and UBC, achieving Registered Interim status in 2016 and full licensure in 2018.
With over eight years of experience in British Columbia, Amneet specializes in musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, and pre/post-operative care. She is certified in dry needling and has a special interest in women's health including pelvic health physiotherapy.
Amneet is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, traveling, cooking, and connecting with loved ones.
